Gas Safety Certificate – CP12

A CP12 is a gas safety certificate that is legally required by the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998. It means compliancy certification and must be completed every 12 months, hence its name.

Landlords are obliged to ensure all the gas appliances work efficiently and safely. In order to fulfill this responsibility, landlords must ensure they have a gas safety inspection annually carried out by a Gas Safe Registered engineer who’s the person that will provide them with the CP12 correctly filled in.
